This online course is designed to help medical practitioners better understand the health requirements, standards, and expectations of seafarers. It also outlines the essential role of medical professionals in the maritime industry.

– To familiarise medical practitioners with maritime health and safety standards.
– To clarify the medical examiner’s role in seafarer health management.

Assessment & Certification

Course Assessment Overview:
– Total Videos: 8
– 3 Videos: Ship Tour and Orientation Purposes
– 5 Videos: Assessment Purposes (Each includes 1 question every 10 minutes)
– All videos must be watched completely.
– Participants must answer all embedded questions to be eligible for certification.

Certification:
– Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants will be awarded a certificate by the Marine Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Laut Malaysia).
– Certified participants will be officially recognised as Approved Medical Practitioners for Malaysian Seafarers.
